Job Introduction
Manufacturing Performance Manager| Permanent | Elton | £70,000-£74,000
As Tank Manager, you will play a pivotal role in organising and leading the continuous packaging processes, adhering to establish rules and procedures to guarantee the systematic improvement of the processes, and higher efficiencies in both quality and quantity, as well as ensuring and promoting adherence to HSE standards.
Role model and develop a safe working environment and good manufacturing practices (GMP) to meet BRC and ISO standards. Lead all operational aspects for the specified furnace and maximise furnace utilisation through planning and collaboration.

KEY REQUIREMENTS

  • Engineering qualification or degree is desirable but not essential.
  • Background in team leadership roles within FMCG environment (multi departments, manufacturing processes, etc.).
  • Glass manufacturing knowledge is essential.
  • Experience managing a high-volume manufacturing process, including both production lines & people where quality / consistency was critical.
  • Production improvement experience.
  • Proven record in people performance management with evidence of building, managing & motivating successful teams on a large scale and in particular, shift operations.
  • Technical knowledge and understanding to be able to answer team member’s questions & doubts.
  • Understanding of site processes is desirable.
  • Deep understanding of forming, Hot End, Job Changes, Quality and Lehr processes is essential.
  • Medium knowledge of Batch & Furnace and Raw materials, Moulds and general plant equipment is essential.
  • Ability to analyse root causes and implement decisions. Continuous improvement tools (5s; TPM; Smed, etc.) and production management tools (JIT, 6 sigma, etc.) knowledge is desirable.
