Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE

Join our Energy Unit’s, Nuclear: Defence and Civil division as a Principal Electrical Engineer. You’ll play a key role in managing and delivering projects for the nuclear industry while contributing to technical excellence and collaborating with a successful team across the UK.
In this role, you’ll have the opportunity to guide bids and proposals, and coordinate multidisciplinary resources on high profile projects in the Nuclear industry. You’ll collaborate with talented teams across the UK, working alongside clients and specialists to deliver innovative, technically excellent solutions.

In this role, you’ll:

  • Manage and execute electrical building services work on projects, following company and project procedures.
  • Ensure adherence to safety and quality standards, meet project schedules, and stay within budget.
  • Scope and plan electrical building services work for various projects.
  • Lead and mentor electrical building services teams across our project portfolio.
  • Provide input into project planning and execution, including budgeting and manpower requirements.
  • Assign tasks with clarity on scope, quality, and deadlines.
  • Review and approve deliverables to ensure they meet required standards.
  • Attend engineering meetings and liaise with clients and other disciplines.
  • Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements, including CDM, safety, environmental, and site license conditions.
  • Review and check the work of other engineers.
  • Participate in design reviews and HAZOPS, providing expert advice.
  • Collaborate with project and engineering managers and maintain strong client relationships
