OVERALL OBJECTIVE OF THE POSITION

We are a non unionized glazing company seeking an experienced installer/glazier to join our growing company. The right candidate will be comfortable with multiple systems of glass and aluminum glazing units, with significant competency in exterior systems however having some experience with interior installations. The employee will be presentable to customers, considerate of cleanliness and will take on each project with a positive attitude.

Pay: $30.00-$40.00 per hour

Ability to commute/relocate:

• Ottawa, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)

Experience:

• glazing/window installation: 1 year (preferred)

Work Location: In perso

• Read drawings and discuss approach with project managers, general manager, or field manager to decide best installation approach
• Fabricate, or learn to fabricate, aluminum window frames in the shop for both window wall and curtain wall systems
• Transport material to and from job site in company van
• Install pre-fabricated frames in window walls, and remove/replace curtain wall framing components onsite, per drawings
• Install Insulated Glass Units on both exterior and interior of buildings
• Layout interior partition framing per drawings, including levelling and adjustments to aluminum while onsite
• Glaze laminate and tempered lites while onsite for interior partitions
• Identify areas needing sealant, and apply beads in a visually appealing manner
• Correspond and communicate job progress with Field Manager and General Manager for smooth operation of company
