Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Glazing Technician/Installer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in the installation of aluminum framing systems, glass products, and related components for commercial projects. You must be comfortable working both independently and within a team environment.
Responsibilities:
Install aluminum doors, frames, storefronts, curtainwall systems, and windows
Set glass, mirrors, and IG units using proper safety practices
Perform measurements, layout, and on-site adjustments as needed
Operate power tools, hand tools, and lifting equipment safely
Read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and installation specifications
Ensure work meets project requirements and company quality standards
Follow all health and safety regulations and company procedures
Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and project managers
Requirements:
Previous experience in commercial glazing and aluminum framing systems
Ability to read construction drawings and interpret installation instructions
Familiarity with glass setting materials and sealants
Ability to lift heavy materials (up to 50 lbs) and work at heights
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
Fall Arrest and other applicable safety certifications (preferred)
Assets:
WSIB health and safety training certificates
Experience in IG unit replacement, door hardware installation, and sealing
Knowledge of structural and pressure-glazed curtainwall systems
