GLEN ELBE PROGRAMMING MANAGER

The Thousand Islands Watershed Land Trust is seeking a Glen Elbe Programming Manager for the 2025 field season.

Responsibilities
  • Aid the Board of Directors’ Events Team in event planning and implementation alongside the other Board Teams
  • Work on a business plan for the land trust’s Glen Elbe Learning Centre events
  • Brainstorm, plan, and implement one fundraising venture on the property, and create documentation suitable to evaluate, modify, and re-create the venture in future years
  • Assist in the land trust’s summer events and programs - Conservation Options workshop, Annual General Meeting, August major fundraising event and others, by arranging for an events tent rental, table and chair rentals, promotion and advertising, food, music, and parking arrangements
  • Work out of the Glen Elbe Learning Centre daily, and welcome and orient visitors to the property
  • Prepare the Glen Elbe Learning Centre for programs - mowing the lawn, watering gardens, provisioning, keeping the office tidy and furniture set for programs, etc.
  • Aid the centre’s volunteers in their work and keep needed supplies on hand including some sustenance for workers as needed
  • Keep a list of supplies needed and report to the Executive Director when necessities need replenishing
  • Do opening and closing checklists making sure the property is secure and prepared for the next day
  • Work with events, fundraising, and finance teams to make sure necessities are on hand and in good repair. Think ahead and be creative in order to be prepared.
    Applicants must have a valid Class G driver’s license or equivalent.
    Job Type: Fixed term contract
    Contract length: 8 weeks
    Pay: $18.20 per hour
    Expected hours: 35 per week
