This position will lead the strategic analysis & scenario mapping, select and deploy cutting-edge automation technologies, and implement automation “best practices” throughout the global network of Vertiv manufacturing sites. The candidate ensures that there is consistency in the way all automation projects are scoped, procured, executed, and sustained across plants. The individual will drive strategic initiatives and roadmaps into building problem solving culture while maximizing the ROI to improve operational performance at Vertiv manufacturing sites. This position will play a crucial role in driving operational excellence, process optimization, and innovation in our manufacturing processes. Responsible for developing and implementing advanced manufacturing strategies, leading cross-functional teams, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. RESPONSIBILITIES Craft & Iterate: Write, version-control, and A/B test prompts for chatbots, code generators, content tools, and internal automation workflows. Chain-of-Thought Mastery: Build multi-step reasoning chains, few-shot examples, and structured output templates (JSON, XML, Markdown). Guardrail Design: Embed safety, bias-mitigation, and brand-voice rules directly into prompts without sacrificing performance. Tooling & Automation: Create prompt libraries, evaluation harnesses, and auto-refinement loops using Python, LangChain, or similar. Cross-Functional Translation: Convert product requirements, user stories, and domain-expert knowledge into bulletproof system messages. Metrics & Observability: Define success criteria (accuracy, latency, user satisfaction) and instrument prompts with logging and analytics. Research & Advocacy: Stay ahead of prompting techniques (ReAct, Tree-of-Thoughts, self-consistency) and champion best practices across the org. Skills Ability to manage and deliver a project portfolio. Proficient in executive communication and presentation. Understand and operate effectively in a global and cross-functional network. Extensive business acumen and coaching abilities especially at the senior levels Strong facilitation skills Apply analytical skills to create and validate compelling and persuasive business cases. Partner with others and foster teamwork, with a “can do” positive attitude and self-motivation. Manage multiple priorities while working collaboratively! Results-driven and detail oriented. EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATIONS Bachelor’s degree in engineering – Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Automation technology or related 3+ years shipping production prompts for LLMs (GPT-4, Claude, Llama, etc.). Fluency in prompt patterns: role-playing, delimiters, examples, output formatting, error-handling. Strong Python; comfortable with APIs, vector stores, and evaluation frameworks (e.g., DeepEval, Promptfoo). Data-driven mindset—can design experiments and read statistical significance.
