Job Description The Global Merchandise Planning team is a key part of ASOS, working centrally within the commercial function to set budgets and drive analysis to understand performance. Wokring alongside merchandising and buying teams, we are responsible for forecasting sales and intake so we have the right levels stock to meet customer demand, across buying divisions, product types and warehouses. What You’ll Be Doing... Supporting the Planner in formulating the strategic sales and intake plans for their product groups Working closely with the Merchandising teams to successfully plan and trade their product groups Monitoring your departments performance and identifying opportunities to maximise sales across fulfilment centress Participating in weekly trade meetings with the global merchandise planning team Own and maintain departmental reporting Extracting and transforming data into valuable insights with clear visuals to tell a story and drive actions. Qualifications We’d love to meet someone with… Previous experience of working in the fashion industry in a Assistant Merchandiser or Branch Assistant Merchandising role Awareness of current trends and what is happening in retail. High organisation skills, able to use initiative and to work in pressurised environment. Excellent verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate clearly, effectively and appropriately with colleagues, suppliers and others at all levels. Keen attention to detail. Computer literate able to use both word and excel applications to an intermediate/advanced level. High numerical competency Flexible, self motivated and enthusiastic.
