As a Software Engineer within the Goldman Sachs (GS) Digital Assets Engineering, with firm-wide mandate partnering with Goldman Sachs Digital Assets business to offer cryptocurrency and tokenized securities products, you will be using innovative Distributed Ledger Technology (DLT) to build and support market-leading digital platform and cryptocurrency solutions, offering new investment products and/or transforming traditional capital market processes.
You will be able to independently design and develop software solutions, work closely with business, technology and control stakeholders within Global Banking & Markets and Engineering. The products and processes you build and integrate will span across FICC, Equities and Asset Management businesses.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE WE ARE LOOKING FOR

• Computer Science or Engineering graduate with 3+ years of software development experience in one or more general purpose programming languages such as Java, Haskell, Scala and/or Python
• Minimal 2+ years’ hand-on experience and proficiency in developing and launching cryptocurrency products in trading, custody, financing, market data or analytics domains.
• Ideally also having 2+ years’ hand-on experience and proficiency in DLT and smart contract programming - DAML, Solidity, or Rust, etc.
• Good technology knowhow with blockchain protocols across Bitcoin, Ethereum, Canton or other EVM-based blockchains
• Excellent communication, analytical and self-motivated, attention to detail.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Hands-on knowledge and insight into blockchain underlying protocols, e.g. FIX/SWIFT -to- blockchain integration, cross-chain interoperability, consensus protocol, ZKP cryptography, etc.
• Experience with tokenizing RWAs, covering lifecycle processing across issuance, distribution, trading, settlement, custody and financing.
• Experience with DevOps, SRE and AWS cloud implementation.
