The Equity Capital Markets (ECM) Group within Corporate Advisory is looking for a highly skilled Associate to join our Sydney office.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree and 2-5 years’ relevant work experience within ECM, Capital Markets, or related area
  • Strong interest in and understanding of equity markets
  • Exceptional multi-tasking, time management and communication skills (both verbal and written)
  • Highly organized with a solid work ethic, motivation level, and strong attention to detail
  • Personal integrity, initiative and leadership qualities
  • Capacity to interact and build relationships with a wide range of people and act as a point of contact
  • Well-rounded academic background from a top tier institution
  • Understanding of transaction cycles and the steps in the process
  • Demonstrate maturity to work with all levels of professionals across the firm and external clients
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and possess good judgment to make quick and complex decisions

Responsibilities
  • You will help originate, lead and execute equity capital market transactions for our corporate and financial sponsor clients
  • You will develop content for meetings with clients regarding their strategy and potential capital market transactions, as well as regular market updates
  • You will liaise with multiple internal (e.g. junior and senior team members across different product groups) and external parties (e.g. client management teams, investors, lawyers) on a regular basis to execute transactions and discuss strategic alternatives
  • You will assist in coordinating live equity offerings, including bookbuilds and settlement / operational flow
  • You will complete and review the analytical work of junior team members, and provide mentorship and oversight to the junior team
  • You will have to think creatively to perform investor targeting of potential institutional buyers, analyzing comparable companies and institutional cross ownershipYou will play a vital role throughout the entire transaction process, including project management for mission-critical equity financings
