Responsibilities

THE ROLE:

As the subject-matter expert for benefits, this role supports the transition to a new People System by coordinating requirement gathering, testing, and implementation to ensure stakeholder needs are met. Collaboration with local teams ensures regional requirements are addressed while streamlining processes and maintaining global alignment. The individual utilizes data analytics to monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of global benefits programs by developing dashboards and reports that provide actionable insights into utilization, cost management, and employee satisfaction. A key responsibility is to ensure benefits data is secure, accurate, and compliant with global data privacy regulations such as GDPR, while implementing data governance policies and overseeing the data quality assurance process for benefits systems.
The role identifies opportunities to automate and digitize benefit processes, enhancing efficiency, accuracy, and user experience. This includes leading technology-driven projects and streamlining global benefit inventories and data collection. It also involves leading change management efforts for system updates or transitions, ensuring clear communication, training, and support throughout. Supporting the development of a high-performing benefits administration team within Shared Services is crucial, particularly by leveraging technology to enhance member experience and address administrative and benefit-related queries. Furthermore, the individual identifies and implements technology solutions to improve member understanding and engagement through effective communication of benefit offerings.
Managing relationships with third-party advisers and suppliers in accordance with Arup’s supplier management framework is also part of the role. The position supports colleagues within the Reward Centre of Expertise (CoE) and global people teams, helping them interpret policies, resolve complex issues, and make informed decisions. As a mentor, the individual contributes to the growth and development of an effective Reward CoE. Additionally, they focus on driving cost effectiveness through process improvement and reducing reliance on external insights and reporting.
