Our client is a leading name in premium sports equipment and teamwear, trusted by athletes worldwide for innovation, performance, and style. They are seeking a dynamic Global Brand Manager for their Field Hockey division. In this pivotal role, you will lead their global brand strategy, strengthen relationships with international distributors, manage a team of hockey ambassadors, and drive cutting-edge product development from concept to certification.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • In depth understanding of the global hockey market, professional clubs, players and products.
  • A drive and enthusiasm to develop industry leading products.
  • Ability to motivate and negotiate with global distributors.
  • Excellent organisational, communication, and leadership abilities.
  • Experience in brand management, ideally within sports, lifestyle, or consumer goods (desirable).
  • Understanding of sports equipment standards, CE marking, and FIH certification (desirable).

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

  • Currently playing (or recently retired from) hockey at a high standard.
  • Strong understanding of international hockey markets and distribution channels.
  • Ability to identify and manage elite athletes/ambassadors.
  • Knowledge of product development, prototyping, and certification processes.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and project management skills.
Responsibilities
  1. Brand Strategy & Positioning:
  • Develop and implement a global brand strategy.
  • Define brand guidelines and ensure consistent application across all markets.
  • Identify new market opportunities and consumer trends.
  1. Distributor & Market Management:
  • Manage and grow relationships with international distributors.
  • Negotiate agreements and monitor performance against KPIs.
  • Support distributors with marketing assets, training, and product knowledge.
  1. Ambassador & Athlete Relations:
  • Manage partnerships with professional hockey players and ambassadors.
  • Oversee brand campaigns, events, and social media collaborations.
  • Ensure ambassador activity reflects and enhances the brand image.
  1. Product Development & Innovation:
  • Lead product development from concept to market launch.
  • Oversee prototyping, material selection, and performance testing.
  • Work with R&D to ensure products meet quality, safety, and performance standards.
