Description
We are looking for a Global Business Operations (GBO) Manager, based in Tokyo, Japan. Your Team Our team is committed to manange daily insurance operations and provide an effective and efficient service to insurance agent/brokers/clients, underwriting, claims, credit control/accounting teams. The Impact You Will Have You will report to the Regional Head of GBO, and CFO in Japan. Some of your specific responsibilities could include: Oversee the daily operations of the GBO team in Japan, focusing on enhancing both team and individual productivity. Develop, monitor, and execute business plans that align with AGCS GBO objectives, while effectively communicating goals to customers and direct reports. Act as a representative in meetings and projects, ensuring open communication with stakeholders and promptly addressing customer needs. Analyze productivity statistics, provide constructive feedback, address underperformance, and coach Associates to achieve process targets. Manage work allocation, resolve process issues, respond to customer inquiries, and cultivate a culture of innovation. Prepare and present management information and performance reports to stakeholders, ensuring alignment with the GBO vision and objectives. Collaborate closely with the offshoring team in India. Oversee local facility management and general affairs tasks, such as mailing services, coffee machine vendor management, and office rental contract management. What You’ll Bring to the Role Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of general insurance operations, encompassing processes, regulations, and industry practices. Demonstrated expertise in operations management, including overseeing daily activities, optimizing processes, and ensuring efficient service delivery. Proven experience in stakeholder management, characterized by effective communication, relationship building, and collaboration with diverse internal and external parties. Strong analytical skills. Results-oriented mindset. Business proficiency in Japanese. Business proficiency in English.
