Description
You will play a critical role in advancing Asahi’s global sustainability strategy. You will be a strategic leader focused on shaping and executing global sustainability roadmaps across green gas, natural gas and electricity. You will lead initiatives that drive innovation, reduce environmental impact, and support Asahi’s transition to green gas, natural energy sources, and carbon neutrality. As part of the newly established Global Procurement Office, you will help build a future-ready procurement function that delivers long-term value for the business, our communities, and the planet. Key responsibilities Lead the development and execution of category strategies for green gas, electricity, and natural gas to deliver value, sustainability, and reliability. Drive sustainable procurement and innovation initiatives aligned with Asahi’s sustainability and CSR commitments. Manage supplier partnerships to ensure performance, quality, and continuous improvement across energy supply chains. Oversee strategic sourcing plans and contract negotiations to optimise cost, mitigate risk, and ensure secure energy supply. Partner with key stakeholders to align business needs, share best practices, and promote one-team collaboration globally. Implement governance, compliance, and risk management frameworks to safeguard assets and uphold company reputation. Manage budgets, KPIs, and key value drivers to achieve measurable business outcomes. Lead, coach, and inspire the Procurement team to deliver operational excellence and capability growth across the energy category. University degree in Business or related field (Master’s preferred). Extensive experience in procurement and category management within green gas (mandatory), electricity and natural gas Strong leadership experience in an international multinational company Excellent stakeholder engagement and supplier collaboration skills. Strategic thinker with a passion for innovation and environmental impact. Experience with procurement platform SAP Ariba highly regarded and advanced proficiency in MS Office Suite.
