The company uses a subscription model and has created 11 highly targeted “Phorums” (forums) with tailored content across multiple areas including Drug Substance, Drug Development, Fill Finish, Technology Strategy, Supply Chain Resilience, IT, Data and Digital, Advanced Therapy Medicinal Products, Quality, Regulatory, and Sustainability. BioPhorum’s expert facilitators currently lead more than ninety initiatives involving over 7,000 subject matter experts.
BioPhorum has built a diverse and extensive client base of over 150 organisations, including 18 of the 20 largest global (bio)pharmacos. Beyond pharma, BioPhorum has also built relationships with other types of life science organisations, including those that provide services across the outsourced value chain (e.g., CDMOs), and academia.
Over the last year, BioPhorum has established an exciting growth strategy, launched its first data product and completed an acquisition. Further growth opportunities are being planned in both the core Phorum business as well as adjacent markets. Against this backdrop, BioPhorum is looking to hire a Global Change Facilitator.
The Role
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
- Degree-level education or experience working within in a life science, pharmaceutical, biotechnology, with demonstrable experience and working knowledge of these sectors, including Contract Development and Manufacturing Organisation (CDMO) and/or consulting services within these spaces
- Strong and highly effective stakeholder management skills, able to take a group on a journey, adapt communication styles, influence, build strong working relationships and continually adapt in order to move the group along without ‘losing people’ along the way
- Can demonstrate enjoyment for the collaborative process such as initiating constructive dialogue, drawing out information from people, ordering thoughts, prioritising information and forming solutions
- Effective at synthesising information, taking sometimes large highly complex topics, points and information and presenting these back in a way that is easily digestible terms using plain language in order to facilitate change across the industry
- Experience in managing projects or change programmes within life sciences, pharmaceutical, biotechnology and/or CDMO organisations; able to structure work into clearly defined terms and mapped to an agreed timeline. Can demonstrate when to apply the appropriate governance practices based on a given situation
- A team player, enjoys working with colleagues in the spirit of continuous improvement, able to give constructive feedback and receive it. Acts in a mature and professional manner with both members and colleagues
- Can demonstrate good judgement, able to make decisions based on the available facts at hand, take advice in order to arrive at a decision; able to take the necessary steps to act on this decision and deliver at pace
- Is able to work within iterative environments, enjoys the process of incremental improvement while ensuring an objective is delivered as agreed
- Able to work within a remote working environment, can identify the challenges that come with being remote and can demonstrate how they’re able to adapt to this style of work e.g., proactively engaging with their manager and colleagues with intention, appreciates the need to adapt communication styles depending on the work tools being used e.g., chat vs email, vs video vs face-to-face
- Is comfortable working in a fast-paced growing environment, able to remain nimble as the organisation changes and adapts in order to evaluate growth opportunities and scaling
