Job Description
Purpose of the role:
The role of the Client Relationship Manager is to originate institutional investor relationships, raise capital and manage investor relationships in Central & Eastern Canada

Responsible for:

  • Represent Brookfield among institutional investors in Central & Eastern Canada.
  • Prospecting & originating relationships, including but not limited to:
  • Developing a strategic business plan for raising institutional capital for Brookfield’s private market strategies.
  • Conducting competitor analysis and research
  • Managing and executing the outreach to investors

Fundraising

  • Managing and executing fundraising of Brookfield’s private market strategies to institutional investors including:
  • Initial pitches
  • Facilitating investment professional meetings and due diligence processes
  • Facilitating the closing and onboarding of investors

Managing investor relationships and supporting investors through the full life cycle of the relationship, including but not limited to:

  • Managing investor request
  • Coordinating client meetings, preparing briefing notes, attending meetings, taking meeting notes and tracking follow-ups/next steps
  • Coordinating roadshows, conferences, and client events with respective teams

Bringing the Brookfield organization to the investor

  • Managing the internal client relationship management database that tracks progress on marketing and relationship management activities
  • Coordinating and collaborating with all parts of the Brookfield organization to enhance the interactions and value the investor

Qualifications, Experience and Skills

  • Fluency in French strongly preferred

Experience

  • 10+ years of professional experience ideally in funds management and/or IR, fundraising
  • Experience with working with institutional investors

Preferable:

  • Experience in real estate, infrastructure and/or private equity asset classes
  • Experience in analyzing and summarizing complex information
  • Fund marketing sales and support experience
  • Experience working in an international organization and team

Qualifications

  • Appropriate college degree in accounting/finance/business
  • Post graduate studies in finance, MBA, or CFA/CPA qualified would be highly regarded
