Description

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • 7+ years of strategic sourcing or commodity management experience in a global manufacturing environment preferred
  • Strong knowledge of commodity categories such as metals, plastics, electronics, or capital equipment
  • Proven ability to lead complex global negotiations and manage supplier relationships
  • Experience with ERP systems and sourcing platforms (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Coupa)
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and project management skills
  • Ability to travel internationally as needed
  • Professional certifications such as CPSM, CPM, or CSCP are a plus

EDUCATION

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business, or a related field required
  • MBA or advanced degree preferred.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute global commodity strategies that support corporate goals related to cost, quality, delivery, innovation, and risk
  • Lead the sourcing process, including supplier identification, evaluation, negotiation, and contract execution
  • Manage a global supplier base, ensuring performance through metrics, scorecards, and regular business reviews
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, and Finance, to align sourcing activities with product and operational requirements
  • Conduct market analysis, benchmarking, and should-cost analysis to identify sourcing opportunities and drive strategic decisions
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the supply base, including cost reduction, lead-time optimization, and quality enhancement
  • Develop and maintain commodity roadmaps, cost models, and sourcing playbooks
  • Mitigate risks in the supply chain through dual-sourcing strategies, supplier development, and contingency planning
  • Ensure compliance with corporate policies, ethical sourcing standards, and regulatory requirements
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to sourcing teams or regional commodity specialists, where applicable
