Job Description As Compliance Director, you will serve as a trusted advisor and compliance partner across multiple therapy areas, global functions, and key programs. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring that Sobi operates in full alignment with international laws, regulations, and industry codes, while embedding a strong culture of integrity and accountability throughout the organization. You will lead critical areas such as compliance program design and implementation, third-party risk management, sanctions compliance, external funding oversight, training strategy, and investigations. This position offers a unique opportunity to influence strategic direction and drive meaningful change across a global biopharma business The position is Hybrid and will be located in either Stockholm or Basel , reporting to Vice President, Chief Compliance Officer. Your impact will include: Provide strategic compliance leadership for assigned therapy areas, products, and global functions, ensuring adherence to internal policies and international standards (e.g. ABAC, IFMPA, EFPIA). Design, implement, and continuously enhance global compliance frameworks for distributor partners, sanctions screening, and third-party risk management. Lead and oversee external funding compliance (including grants, donations, sponsorships, and investigator-initiated studies), ensuring effective controls and monitoring. Develop and deliver engaging global compliance training programs that strengthen awareness, accountability, and ethical decision-making across the organization. Conduct and manage compliance investigations, perform root cause analyses, and recommend corrective and preventive actions. Drive global compliance risk assessments and monitoring activities, identifying gaps and implementing improvements to enhance program effectiveness. Contribute to strategic compliance initiatives and continuous program improvement in collaboration with the Chief Compliance Officer and global leadership team. Qualifications You are an accomplished compliance professional with a strategic mindset and the confidence to influence senior stakeholders. You thrive in a global, matrixed environment and are passionate about promoting an ethical business culture that enables sustainable growth. Key talents and experience Minimum 10 years of international, in-house pharmaceutical compliance experience on global or regional level. Proven expertise in global compliance program leadership, training, third-party risk management, and monitoring. Demonstrated success in leading complex cross-functional and change management projects. Strong knowledge of compliance systems, tools, and digital platforms (Microsoft Office proficiency required). Fluent in English; additional European languages a plus. Exceptional communication, stakeholder management, and influencing skills.
