    Reporting to the OTT CFO, the Global Controller will coordinate controllership and transaction activities in close connection with the site finance controllers in EU, US, India, and China, the business controllers, Compliance and FP&A. You will have the opportunity to provide technical guidance and training on accounting matters and take responsibility for implementing and maintaining a strong control environment across OTT, including internal accounting policies and delegation of authority.
    This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic, global organization with significant opportunity for personal growth based out of Sterling, VA, USA, or Delft, the Netherlands. This high-profile finance leadership position within OTT HydroMet (OTT), is a key position partnering with the Finance team and OTT Leadership and maintains a close relationship with counterparts across the Water Segment and Veralto.

In this role, a typical day will look like:

  • Ensuring accurate and timely month-end and quarter-end close, reporting and disclosures in compliance with US GAAP and Veralto Finance policies
  • Reviewing and validates the production, accuracy and timeliness of monthly and quarterly stats and supplemental reporting
  • Working closely with the FP&A function in support of business support and analysis, as required
  • Challenging existing processes, systems, and reports; partners with broader organization to drive standardizations and continuous improvements
  • Coordinating program activities for monthly account reconciliations, balance sheet reviews, internal audits, SOX requirements, and tax certifications
  • Being closely involved with the preparation for internal and external audits, reviews and approves management response, ensures timeliness and sustainability of remediation.
  • Providing technical accounting guidance and trainings to the Finance team; develops, deploys and enforces group policies and delegation of authority

The essential requirements of the job include:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or Accounting
  • 10+ years of finance experience, preferably in a global, matrix organization
  • Ability to effectively partner with and influence senior-level cross-functional teams
  • Strong analytical/problem-solving skills, a command of the details
  • Proven experience in guiding and motivating indirect teams
  • Fluent in English

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

  • CPA/CMA certification
  • Implementation of financial reporting and consolidation systems
  • Able to communicate in Dutch and/or German a plus
