Description
The Subsidiary Banking Analyst, based in Melbourne, Australia, plays a key role in supporting the banking needs of multinational subsidiaries. Working closely with senior bankers and product teams, the analyst helps deliver tailored financial solutions, deepen client relationships, and ensure seamless deal execution. Job Responsibilities Support senior bankers and product teams in identifying, structuring, and delivering value-added banking solutions for subsidiaries of multinational clients, including cash management, trade finance, lending, FX & rates, and commodities. Assist in the preparation of account plans, client presentations, and deal pitches tailored to client needs. Cultivate and maintain strong client relationships by proactively addressing banking requirements and leveraging the firm’s global network. Take ownership of end-to-end deal execution, demonstrating responsibility and attention to detail. Support the management of KYC onboarding, renewals, and remediation processes in compliance with regulatory standards. Conduct comprehensive client and industry analysis to identify opportunities and risks. Required Qualifications, Skills and Capabilities Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related discipline. Minimum 1 year of relevant experience in corporate banking, financial services, or a client-facing role. Solid understanding of corporate banking products, including KYC, AML, credit underwriting, payments, trade finance, FX, and commodities hedging. Strong financial analytical skills, with the ability to perform quantitative and qualitative analysis. High standard of personal integrity, partnership, and team spirit. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively across teams and geographies. Attention to detail and strong organizational skills. Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills Prior experience working with multinational or subsidiary clients. Experience in cross-cultural environments and inter-departmental collaboration. Advanced proficiency in data analysis or financial modeling. Knowledge of the Australian regulatory environment and market practices.
