Job Title: Global Cyber Security OT Technical Authority (TA1)
Location: Port sunlight office
We are currently seeking a Global Cyber Security OT Technical Authority (TA1) to join our innovative and forward-thinking Global Business Operations Cyber Security team. This high-impact role supports the Supply Chain in delivering maximum resilience by securing our automation estate and advancing cyber security across Unilever’s global manufacturing, R&D, and warehousing operations.
Unilever has a clear strategy to secure automation across its global manufacturing sites. Following the successful deployment of core cyber security controls, we are now entering the next phase—embedding and evolving our OT security posture and culture. As the Technical Authority Lead, you will guide and support the wider TA structure across the regional cluster teams and report directly to the Director of OT & IoT Security Engineering (TA0).
RECRUITMENT FRAUD
Cyber criminals advertise fake job adverts with prestigious employers as a way of stealing information or even defrauding individuals out of money. In the most sophisticated cases, they will set up fake websites, which have a similar address to companies like Unilever. They even conduct fake telephone interviews and then offer candidates a role with the proviso they pay a fee for background checks or to cover work visa costs. These types of attacks are becoming more common as more people are looking for employment in the economic climate.
JOB PURPOSE
As a key member of the Cyber Security Engagement & Engineering team, you will be responsible for OT cyber security across sites including automation and control systems, safety systems, engineering IT assets, and both IT and engineering networks within factories, R&D, and some warehousing locations.
You will lead the ongoing cyber security operational programs, maintain OT security and support sites with a range of digital factory and Industry 4.0 initiatives. These projects span safety, quality, cost efficiency, capacity, innovation, and infrastructure—primarily within Automation & Control (A&C) for batch, continuous, and packaging systems.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Managing and leading delivery and maintenance of OT security strategy across a global factory, R&D and Warehouse. Responsibilities and activities include:
Key Interfaces: Global ISL, TA2’s/ TA3’s Cluster and Global Engineering Managers and Engineers; Information Security Managers, Leads and Analysts; Procurement; Factory Supply Chain Managers and Supervisors; Internal Unilever Subject Matter Experts; 3rd Party Engineering Service Providers; General Contractors; OEM’s, Quality, Safety, WCM
