How the process looks like Contact information: About the role The Global Data Center Expansion & Operations Manager is responsible for the commercial, legal, and financial governance of global data center expansion initiatives. This role ensures that new data center developments, partnerships, leases, and investments are structured, negotiated, and executed in a legally sound, financially optimized, and operationally aligned manner. Operating at the intersection of legal, finance, procurement, and operations, this role supports the full lifecycle of expansion—from site selection and contract structuring to operational handover and governance. Application deadline: Practicalities Your responsibilities Expansion Strategy & Execution Support Support the planning and execution of global data center expansion initiatives Coordinate cross-functional activities across construction, operations, procurement, and finance Ensure alignment between expansion projects and long-term business strategy Legal, Commercial & Financial Structuring Lead or support structuring of: Site acquisitions and leases Colocation and partnership agreements Service and infrastructure contracts Assess legal, financial, and operational risks associated with expansion projects Ensure agreements are aligned with company governance and risk appetite Contract Negotiation & Vendor Engagement Support major negotiations with: Landlords and developers Colocation providers and partners Utilities and infrastructure providers Coordinate with legal counsel on contract drafting and review Track contractual obligations and key milestones Investment Governance & CapEx Coordination Support evaluation of large-scale infrastructure investments Prepare business cases, financial models, and executive summaries Track expansion-related CapEx commitments and approvals Regulatory & Compliance Coordination Support compliance with local regulations, permits, and licensing requirements Coordinate with legal and regulatory advisors across jurisdictions Maintain governance documentation and audit readiness Operational Handover & Lifecycle Coordination Ensure smooth transition from construction and expansion to operations Track contractual deliverables and operational readiness milestones Support post-launch performance and partnership governance Your key competencies Education Degree in Law, Business Law, Finance, Economics, or Business Administration Master’s degree (LL.M., MBA, or Finance) is highly preferred Experience 6–10+ years of experience in infrastructure, real estate, legal, finance, or commercial roles Experience working on large-scale projects, investments, or international expansions Exposure to data centers, telecom, infrastructure, or real estate sectors preferred Legal & Financial Competencies Strong understanding of: Commercial contracts and negotiations Financial modeling and business case development Risk assessment and governance processes Ability to interpret legal and financial implications of complex agreements Personal Attributes Strong analytical and negotiation skills Excellent stakeholder management and cross-cultural communication Structured, detail-oriented, and governance-focused mindset Ability to operate in fast-paced, multi-country environments Success criteria for this role in the next 6-12 months
