WE ARE SEEKING A GLOBAL DIRECTOR – MONITORING, EVALUATION & LEARNING TO JOIN OUR MELBOURNE TEAM.

The Movember Institute of Men’s Health’s mission is to lift the profile of men’s health and propel Movember’s leadership and enterprise across the sector. To achieve this, the Institute, in collaboration with key partners, advocates for and drives critical policy and practice reform in its markets to improve understanding and investment in programs and services that advance boys’ and men’s health and reduce health inequities experienced by sub-populations of men.
The role of Global Director – Monitoring, Evaluation & Learning will report to the Global Director, Movember Institute of Men’s Health, and work closely with key reports, the Executive Director of Programs, and the Global Director of Advocacy.
Working in partnership with the Impact Team global leaders, the role will be responsible for overseeing Movember’s Monitoring, Evaluation & Learning team to support our projects and programs in achieving Movember’s charitable goals. The role is a combination of ‘hands on’ activity as well as managing and leading a team of evaluation specialists in providing internal consultative support to program teams. The role will also manage external evaluation partners, as well as liaising with external and internal stakeholders in the conduct and dissemination of evaluation outcomes.
To fulfill this role, the individual will bring strong experience in designing, conducting and translating monitoring/evaluation studies in the programmatic domains relevant to the cause areas of Institute. The individual will be skilled in managing and leading a high performing team of evaluation specialists. Ability to lead Movember’s implementation science work will be essential.

Responsibilities
  • Postgraduate degree in a health-related area
  • Research and evaluation expertise: skilled and experienced in the design and implementation of research and evaluation projects
  • Health / science sector expertise: prior role(s) in a scientific, population health or health policy area for a minimum of 10 years
  • Stakeholder relations: highly competent manager of both internal and external relationships to ensure a smooth flow of information across different parts of the organisation
  • Demonstrated experience in a role handling complex stakeholder relations both within and outside of the organisation; on a global basis preferable
  • Impressive strategic thinker, and with strong attention to detail
  • Outstanding communicator, using both written and verbal means
  • Excellent manager of teams, including creating conditions that support team development, growth and success
  • Skilled and experienced in connecting research and evaluation activities and results to other organizational functions, including for informing decision making, organizational learning, promoting success and demonstrating accountabilityBudget management experience for large programs or departments
