Job Description The Director, Strategic Planning & Operations plays a central role in driving strategic alignment, operational excellence, and cross‑functional coordination for the nephrology asset. The position oversees long‑range and annual planning, leads key operational processes, provides high‑quality governance materials, and supports leadership with the insights and structure needed for effective decision‑making. The role acts as a strategic integrator across Global, Regional, and Affiliate teams, ensuring clarity of priorities, consistency of execution, and disciplined, transparent progress against milestones. Strategic & Long‑Range Planning Lead the cross‑functional annual planning cycle (Brand Planning, operational planning) for the asset. Drive the Long‑Range Planning (LRP) process, ensuring alignment on strategic priorities and key milestones. Maintain and govern the Integrated Project Plan (IPP), ensuring visibility of interdependencies, risks, and timelines. Support the VP Head of Nephrology and CAT leadership with structured planning deliverables for key internal reviews. Governance, Reporting & Leadership Communications Develop clear, high‑quality materials for CAT, executive reviews, and senior leadership updates. Consolidate input across functions into integrated status reports, dashboards, and risk assessments. Coordinate operational governance rhythms, ensuring teams meet deadlines and decisions progress smoothly. Budget Discipline & Operational Management Partner with the Business Support Manager to monitor budget versus plan, track key spending lines, and support financial discipline. Lead the consolidation of operational KPIs and ensure visibility on performance against objectives. Identify operational gaps and implement corrective actions where needed. Cross‑Functional Program & Project Leadership Lead global cross‑functional program management for the enAble/enFuse rollout, including: affiliate onboarding milestone and timeline coordination documentation and communication risk and issue management Facilitate cross‑functional teams to ensure clarity of ownership, alignment on priorities, and timely delivery. Coordinate with Regional and Affiliate stakeholders to support consistent execution of operational priorities. Process Improvement & Digital Enablement Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance planning, governance, and cross‑functional operating models. Champion and support the adoption of digital tools that improve visibility, streamline workflows, and support data‑driven decision‑making. Identify opportunities to simplify processes and promote effective ways of working. Stakeholder & Cross‑Functional Engagement Serve as a central point of coordination across Global, Medical, Access, Regulatory, and Commercial functions to ensure integrated planning and aligned execution. Ensure market insights and operational needs from countries and regions are reflected in strategic and operational planning. Build strong, trust‑based relationships with key stakeholders to support seamless collaboration Additional Information Required Ideal requirement: prior experience in medical devices Project Management skills and result-driven attitude Strong brand management experience gained in at least 5 years in global roles and/or leadership roles in marketing/commercial departments Multi stakeholder project management and leadership experience, delivering results on time and within budget Additional commercial experiences including sales, market analytics and business intelligence would be a plus University degree level education – medical/science based Experience in Life Cycle Management Ability to manage and coordinate external consultants and agencies Demonstrable customer relationship management experience Additional European language skill is desired Personal attributes: Demonstrate, embrace and align with the company’s values (Care, Ownership, Ambition, Urgency and Partnership) Ability to control and flourish in an environment of ambiguity, uncertainty and stressful situations Solid strategic and business acumen.
