WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
As a Global Events Specialist, you will lead the global event marketing and communications activities for the ES&O team, from webinars to tradeshows. This is a hands-on role where you’ll craft compelling event strategies, strengthen brand visibility, and drive thought leadership.
You’ll leverage your expertise in marketing and communications to create and execute events that align with business objectives. You’ll also stay ahead of industry trends to inform your strategy, provide data-driven insights, and support the creation of impactful thought leadership content. Your creativity and attention to detail will be essential, along with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into engaging content.
As the Global Events Specialist, your work will focus on these responsibilities:
- Event Strategy & Execution: Lead the development and execution of ES&O events, including trade shows, webinars, internal executive studios, and more. From concept to execution, you’ll manage the full lifecycle—design, planning, vendor management, contract negotiation, and more.
- Internal Event Coordination: Partner with sales teams to organize internal training, executive thought leadership programs, and content alignment across departments.
- Performance Tracking: Regularly measure and optimize event outcomes to ensure targeted success through marketing automation, digital campaigns, and ongoing performance analysis.
- Content Governance: Ensure all content aligns with our brand voice, tone, and style, ensuring consistency across all platforms and materials.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with internal and external teams—designers, writers, agencies—to ensure seamless execution.
- Budget Management: Oversee the global ES&O events budget, ensuring fiscal responsibility while driving impact.
- Global Alignment: Coordinate across global Marcomms functions and ensure alignment with product launches and brand visibility goals.
- Adaptability & Efficiency: Thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment, managing multiple priorities and adapting to shifting schedules.
TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE, WE EXPECT YOU TO HAVE:
- Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) or equivalent, advanced degree (MA/MS/MBA) a plus.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience leading event development and execution—from webinars to tradeshows and executive presentations, Renewables marketing experience preferred, but not required
- Understanding of event marketing best practices and trends and can advise on the best fit.
- Experience with Salesforce, and Pardot ( or similar tools ) additional automation tools a plus.
- Proven track record of managing vendor relationships and building successful partnerships.
- Strong project management skills and the ability to juggle multiple stakeholder priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills across diverse contexts and formats.
- A proactive, entrepreneurial mindset with a desire for learning. You thrive in a fast-paced environment and are ready to be hands-on and decisive.
(In this role, some travel is required to support events around the world. Thus, we hope you to be ready to travel up to 40%, even though most of your day to day work will be done virtually.)
