Description

Overview The Global Legal Counsel will lead the legal function across multiple regions and act as a strategic business partner to the executive leadership team. This role requires commercial judgement, M&A capability, and experience operating within a startup or scale-up environment. The position has global scope and oversight of four Legal Counsels. Key Responsibilities Strategic Business Partnership Partner with the CEO, CFO, COO and investors on strategic initiatives Provide commercially focused legal advice aligned with business objectives Support international expansion across the US, EMEA and Middle East/Africa Deliver risk-based guidance with practical solutions Mergers & Acquisitions / Investments Lead and support M&A transactions, investments and corporate structuring Manage due diligence processes and transaction documentation Advise on post-acquisition integration and governance matters Global Legal Leadership Oversee and develop a team of four Legal Counsels Establish legal frameworks, policies and governance structures across regions Manage external counsel across multiple jurisdictions Ensure compliance with local and international regulatory requirements Commercial & Operational Legal Support Provide oversight on commercial contracts and strategic agreements Support fundraising activities and investor relations Advise on corporate, employment and regulatory matters Requirements Qualified lawyer with significant post-qualification experience Demonstrated M&A and investment transaction experience - mandatory In-house experience within a startup or scale-up environment - required Experience operating across multiple jurisdictions Proven ability to partner with executive leadership and investors Commercially focused approach with solution-oriented decision making Experience leading and developing legal teams
