JOB DESCRIPTION

Nutreco is a part of the SHV family of companies whose purpose is the courage to care for generations to come. Our solutions go beyond nutrition – we provide best-in-class advice and technology to help our customers produce more sustainable food to feed the world’s growing population. Feeding the Future goes beyond a purpose – it’s our passion, and we are dedicated to working across the value chain to make it happen. Nutreco has two business lines: Skretting is a leading global provider of innovative aquafeed solutions, revolutionizing aquaculture for a sustainable future. Trouw Nutrition specializes in animal nutrition and is committed to advancing livestock health and productivity through cutting-edge solutions.
We’re seeking a senior product manager to lead our global gut health portfolio for production animals with focus on mono-gastrics. This role blends technical depth (gut physiology, antimicrobial/antibiotic-alternative know-how, R&D interface) with commercial ownership (portfolio strategy, launches, enablement). You’ll act as a subject-matter expert, drive key cross-functional projects, and turn science into scalable customer value.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • MSc/PhD (or equivalent experience) in Animal Nutrition, Veterinary Science, Microbiology or related, with strong gut physiology and antimicrobial/antibiotic-alternative understanding.
  • Must-have experience in poultry & swine within animal nutrition/feed or gut-health solutions.
  • 8 - 10+ years’ experience combining technical and commercial responsibilities
  • Proven project management skills leading cross-functional teams and delivering measurable outcomes.
  • Strong communicator with customer-ready narratives and effective training.
  • Comfortable operating globally with diverse stakeholders
  • Willing and able to travel up to 40% of the time
  • Fluent in English (additional languages a plus).
Responsibilities
  • Own the global gut health portfolio: lifecycle, roadmap, positioning, and value propositions.
  • Serve as the SME in terms of supporting bids, customer meetings, trainings, and technical escalations.
  • Convert scientific insights into portfolio strategy; define R&D trial priorities and collaborate on study designs and readouts.
  • Lead key projects end-to-end with Marketing, Operations, Quality, Procurement, and Legal; track milestones, risks, and ROI.
  • Build and execute go-to-market plans (claims strategy, pricing guidance, launch toolkits, sales enablement).
  • Create compelling technical content (datasheets, guidelines, training modules) that simplifies complex science.
  • Capture voice-of-customer and market intelligence; benchmark competitors and shape proactive responses.
  • Deliver product promotion, training, and customer engagement globally; ensure post-launch performance tracking.
