All about the role: The Electronics Manager is responsible for leading the electronics team in Hangzhou, China, including hardware, software, system, and project leaders. This role oversees the design and development of innovative electronic devices for cooking appliances, from concept through production. The position collaborates closely with the global FPP electronics management and broader D&ET leadership to ensure alignment with the Electronics team’s goals, policies, and procedures. Responsibilities include resource planning, performance appraisals, project organization, and cross-departmental collaboration to support company directives. What you’ll do: Initiate and lead departmental transformation in APAC to deliver generation plans, quality, cost, and manufacturing support. Manage the team to deliver FPP global and platform projects at high productivity. Guide project leaders, system engineers, software engineers, and hardware engineers to meet goals for successful product launches. Define and lead the hardware strategy within the FPP Electronics team, ensuring alignment with the group’s technical strategy. Grow organizational efficiency, discipline, and process rigor while maintaining short-term deliverables. Provide leadership in developing engineering materials such as block diagrams, schematics, drawings, specifications, source code, firmware, manuals, test procedures, ECNs, and manufacturing procedures. Estimate task durations and assist in preparing project schedules and cost estimates, including costed BOMs. Demonstrate professional behavior including positive attitude, urgency, independent judgment, teamwork, creativity, and integrity. Collaborate with external consultants, suppliers, and contract manufacturers to develop and produce electronic assemblies. Work with Purchasing and Quality teams to evaluate, qualify, select, and manage electronics suppliers. People management, set goals for the team, team members, and conduct performance reviews. Foster team spirit and coach associates in technical and project skills. Proactively resolve engineering issues. Manage project budgets and report status to R&D Management. Interact with customers, senior management, and vendors as needed. Remove roadblocks by anticipating departmental needs and eliminating obstacles to productivity. Perform other duties as required. Shared Responsibilities Across the Department • Apply expert knowledge of electronics technology and industry standards to explore new technologies, methods, and testing procedures. • Lead and mentor engineers, technicians, or interns on projects or tasks. • Provide input on product specifications based on various requirement sources, translating general and market-based needs into detailed designs. • Assess the feasibility of using existing products or modifying designs for new applications. • Participate the preparation and execution of test and validation plans. • Support and train other departments and customers on new products. • Collaborate with Product Line, Sales, and Marketing to define new projects, upgrades, and feature enhancements. Reporting Line Reports to: Engineering Director, FPP Electronics, Digital & Electronics Technology Who you are: • Proven leadership with a strong desire to grow a team and a balanced mindset across engineering and business. • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred. • Minimum of five years managing teams developing embedded hardware/software controls and systems, preferably in consumer appliance R&D. • Experience in electronic system design and programming. • Proficient in schematic and circuit design layout. • Familiarity with ANSI, UL, CSA, NEMA, and IEC standards, especially for consumer appliances, is a plus. • Ability to translate non-technical user requirements into technical solutions. • Strong written and verbal communication skills. • Demonstrated and proven leadership capabilities. • Strong desire and skills to manage changes for the team transformation Where you’ll be: You will be based at Hangzhou Plant in China, No. 18 Street, Qiantang District. It will be necessary to be available for national and international traveling.
