ABOUT THE ROLE

As the Global Head of Engineering & Construction (E&C), you’ll lead our vision and strategy to drive profitable growth across our diverse E&C portfolio. Working collaboratively with Market Units, you’ll shape our global underwriting approach while ensuring alignment with broader business objectives.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Strategic Leadership - Define the vision and strategy for the global E&C portfolio, driving profitable growth and performance
• Portfolio Management - Take accountability for the Profit & Loss of the Global E&C portfolio, defining risk appetite and ensuring profitable growth
• Technical Excellence - Serve as the ultimate point of reference on technical issues and stay ahead of emerging technologies and market trends
• Team Leadership - Directly lead the Wholesale Underwriting team in London while collaboratively guiding Market Unit Underwriters globally
• Relationship Building - Cultivate strategic relationships with key clients and brokers, representing Swiss Re Corporate Solutions at the highest levels
• Risk Governance - Ensure full compliance with applicable underwriting standards and risk management frameworks
• Innovation - Drive the development of new solutions to address evolving client needs in the engineering and construction sectors

For Germany, the annual base salary range for this position is between EUR 135 000 and EUR 225 000 (for a full-time role). The specific salary offered considers:
