Responsibilities

We are looking for a visionary and strategic leader to take on the role of Global Head of Green Energy Management. This position will play a pivotal role in managing global energy transformation solutions, technology and innovation scouting, and the development of concepts and scenarios to achieve the corporate environmental ambitions. You will enable “flexible-energy” through sector coupling, including storage technologies, operations adaptability, digitalization, and e-infrastructure. Your expertise will be crucial in optimizing costs through the establishment and enablement of Green Energy Scenario-modelling capability in SAP globally.
Key Responsibilities:
-

Development and implementation of a cost-optimized green energy strategy, including Power Purchase Agreements, Guarantees of Origin, and own generation facilities.

  • Optimization of energy infrastructure and flexibility to reduce costs and CO₂ emissions, focusing on sector coupling (Data Centers – E-Mobility – Buildings), storage technologies, and load shifting options (e.g. data center flexibility on a regional and global scale to meet green energy supply and local grid capacity).
  • Evaluation of heat recovery and cooling/heating strategies to improve data center efficiency and enable sectoral integration.
  • Exploration and predevelopment of energy-related business opportunities within the SAP product portfolio, supporting customers in their green energy transition.
  • Regulatory compliance and sustainability reporting, ensuring corporate compliance with energy-related regional to national laws and directives, upholding corporate ambitions and policies.
  • Leadership of cross-functional collaboration with global experts, partnerships with energy providers, innovators, regulators, and research institutions.
