Description of the department AXA IM Alts’ Global Health Strategy mobilises capital and investment acumen to address societal challenges – healthcare therapeutics, devices, diagnostics and vaccines, while also producing market-rate financial returns for our clients. The Intern will support and enhance the Global Health investment team’s deal flow, portfolio management and execution as well as support relevant reporting of portfolio progress. Your role and responsibilities will include: Conduct research on relevant deals globally to identify companies to consider investing in or to track if too early Conduct qualitative and quantitative analysis and formulate views on potential new investments Populate the deal flow database Data collection and analysis from our direct investments Reporting of impact performance to impact team Support portfolio management Support next fundraising efforts Provide support to the Global Health team Education Skills & Experience Education Degree/ post-graduate degree in life science, science, healthcare, finance, social sciences or related subject Skills Ability to work independently and efficiently in a team within an international and fast-moving environment Microsoft Excel (modelling and analysis), Word, PowerPoint, etc. Knowledge of Bloomberg is an advantage Analytical ability Effective communication including verbal, written & presentational Creative thinking, capability to develop innovative solutions and challenge consensus Fluency in English Experience Demonstrated interest in global health investing, sustainable investing and ESG analysis Knowledge of impact investing norms and principles including the UN Sustainable Development Goals An aptitude to quickly get familiar and iterate on valuation models and research/company data What do we offer This internship is an excellent opportunity to discover an international working environment.
