Position Overview: As Global HR Business Partner, you provide expert strategic and tactical advice to your Business Unit or Function leaders and management, allowing them to build their people capability. You plan and manage talent and develop & implement approaches that achieve shared organizational objectives. You report to the Chief HR Officer and are responsible for acting as prime HR partner for your dedicated Global Barco Business Units or Functions.

EDUCATION:

  • Master’s degree in a relevant discipline (human resources, social sciences, business management) or equivalent combination of qualifications and experience

EXPERIENCE:

  • Proven experience in an HR generalist role, as an HR Business Partner or within a HR Center of Expertise, by preference in an international corporate environment
Responsibilities
  • Identify business priorities, objectives and related needs of the assigned organization and ensure these get cascaded throughout the extended HR community (Centers of Expertise, HRBP’s, HR Service), and work with this community to translate the needs into actionable HR plans
  • Act as a prime HR with business leadership to ensure an effective and efficient delivery of HR programs and services for the assigned organization (including compensation, levelling & grading, talent management, performance management, recruitment, workforce planning)
  • Coach and advise the leadership teams on finding the right balance between the HR priorities of the organization and the realities, constraints and need for consistency across the company
  • Accountable for leadership capacity and effectiveness of the organization, including availability and quality of the succession plans for the leaders, quality and depth of the leadership pipeline across the assigned organization, as well as development and coaching of leaders and of key talents
  • Provide the business view and needs to Centers of Expertise to develop and improve HR programs and services Lead organization design and development as well as change management, in collaboration with the Centers of Expertise
  • Lead special projects related to strategic business decisions and needs
