AT KWS Vegetables we are seeking a dynamic and strategic leader to guide our team as the Global Lead of Business Development, based in Andijk. This role will drive the strategic direction of our business unit, ensuring alignment with our overarching goals and fostering growth through innovative strategies and collaborations. TO SEED YOUR FUTURE, YOU’VE GOT THE FOLLOWING SKILLS:

  • University degree in agriculture, business, economics, or a related field.
  • Experience in the seed and horticultural industry is beneficial.
  • Excellent project management skills with experience in international settings.
  • Strong strategic thinking and entrepreneurial mindset with an understanding of finance and controlling.
  • Ability to comprehend and manage complex situations quickly.
  • Good interpersonal skills and intercultural communication abilities.
  • Fluent in English; proficiency in Spanish or Dutch is advantageous.
  • Able to be based in Andijk and willingness to travel globally (20-30%).
Responsibilities
  • Cultivate the Strategic Planning process for BU Vegetables, including building, coordination, and tracking of the process.
  • Lead a small team of Business Development Managers and enable them to be pioneers in the vegetable market.
  • Guide the 9 Strategic Crop Teams (SCTs) in building their strategic crop plans, ensuring coordination and standardization. Help them plant their ideas and harvest their results.
  • Support local crop teams in developing their strategies and consolidate their input for the SCTs.
  • Blend crop strategies with functional strategies and BU Vegetable strategic objectives.
  • Organize and conduct yearly crop business plan reviews and strategic review processes.
  • Maintain and analyze market, industry, and business data to support strategic decision-making.
  • Coordinate licensing activities, including contract negotiations and monitoring.
  • Contribute to global projects and committees, including M&A activities, strategic projects, and sustainability initiatives.
