Since 1987, Participate Learning has partnered with schools and districts to prepare students for career success through cultural exchange, dual language programs, and global learning. We help students build bilingual fluency, problem solving, and critical thinking skills to apply their learning in real-world settings and any career path. What You’ll Do: The Global Leaders Program Manager partners with Global Leaders schools to coach the schoolwide integration of the Global Leaders framework into existing school priorities, including global competencies, action-driven learning, and global teaching practices. Rather than adding new initiatives, the Program Manager helps schools align this work to current goals, structures, and improvement efforts to ensure coherence, sustainability, and impact. The Program Manager builds strong, trust-based relationships with district leaders, principals, and teacher leaders to support effective school-level implementation. They leverage deep expertise in global education, change management, coaching, and capacity-building to develop teacher leadership and guide principals, global committees, and staff through the adaptive work required to lead and sustain this work. Support is intentionally differentiated based on each school’s context, readiness, and priorities. The Program Manager invests in the long-term growth of partner schools and is able to manage multiple school partnerships simultaneously without compromising the quality of coaching or relationships. They are a skilled facilitator and presenter who designs and delivers high-quality professional learning experiences that strengthen leadership capacity, clarify implementation pathways, and deepen schools’ understanding and ownership of Global Leaders. As the Global Leaders Network continues to scale nationwide, the Program Manager demonstrates strong virtual relationship-building and facilitation skills, effectively engaging partners across geographic contexts. They collaborate closely with a team of Global Leaders Program Managers, contributing to shared learning, continuous improvement, and collective responsibility for partner success. The Global Leaders Program Manager also supports engagement across the Global Leaders Online Community of Practice by designing virtual learning modules and resources, hosting online learning experiences, and fostering meaningful connection and participation among partner schools. Requirements Essential Functions: Provide ongoing, quality communication with all partner schools via phone, email, Zoom, and the Global Leaders Community of Practice. Manage multiple school partners effectively, and tailor the Global Leaders framework to meet the priorities of the school partner. Conduct the Global Leaders onboarding process, including delivering a needs assessment to determine the best school integration pathway, conducting principal onboarding, global committee onboarding, and supporting a whole staff professional learning event. Support school-based global committees with building out a year-long strategic plan based on areas of focus identified in the needs assessment and alignment with Schoolwide Indicators. Conduct fall and spring site visits as needed, based on implementation data, to partner schools within North Carolina. Conduct monthly virtual check-in meetings with each partner school’s global committee and/or principal. Facilitate virtual districtwide professional learning communities. Collaborate with the Product Enhancements and Partnerships teams to support school success across our network. Track and document each partner school’s progress as they move through their chosen integration pathway using tools like Salesforce. Experience You Bring: Bachelor Degree; advanced degree preferred. Minimum 3-5 years of teaching experience required, U.S. public school system experience preferred. Experience coaching or mentoring teachers or teacher leaders. Experience supporting schools virtually, including facilitating online learning and building strong relationships at a distance. Ability to turn complex ideas into clear, practical next steps, even when the work is still evolving. Ability to balance big-picture thinking with attention to detail, knowing when to zoom out to align to goals and when to zoom in to support specific school needs. Strong listening and questioning skills, with the ability to assess a school’s context and adapt coaching or resources to what will be most useful. Knowledge of or experience with global education frameworks and demonstrated passion for cultural awareness and global education. Ability to influence and support others without formal authority. You have a record of building trust, investing in relationships, and helping principals and teacher leaders move work forward together. Strong organization and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple school partnerships effectively. Clear, practical communication skills, both written and verbal. Skill to problem solve independently, review own work and the work of others to identify and correct errors. A solutions-oriented mindset and comfort working in a fast-paced, changing environment. Eagerness to give and receive feedback, using it to improve practice, strengthen relationships, and drive better outcomes. Comfort using technology and digital tools for collaboration and community building. Ability to work weekends and/or evenings as required. Travel Required: Yes. Regional travel to schools, districts and meetings in North Carolina as described above and some national travel when requested by partners and/or for conferences.
