Job Summary
We’re seeking a passionate Global Logistics Manager to join our fast-paced and innovative team! In this critical role, you’ll work hands-on to resolve shipment level issues, play a key role in analyzing freight and drive cost reduction opportunities through continuous improvement, carrier optimization and KPI metrics. The ideal candidate will have deep experience in global logistics, exceptional analytical skills, and a strong understanding of all modes of transportation (domestic, international)

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the daily shipments of the global transportation network, with a strong emphasis on the US operations, including LTL, TL, parcel and international shipments. Develop innovative solutions to improve the global transportation network.
  • Manage all carriers, including 3PL Logistics providers and TMS (Oracle-OTM) for domestic freight (LTL/TL) and international freight execution. Manage relationships with global logistics providers, including negotiating contracts, carrier selection and RFP impact on contract lanes.
  • Create reports and analyze data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement (both cost and process). Ability to analyze and lead with data and monitoring performance through metrics, KPIs, and similar methods.
  • Lead with a continuous improvement mindset as it relates to logistics project execution and implementation.
  • Participate in annual budgeting process for Logistics and monthly analysis to help manage the logistics budget, including freight forecasting, expense control, and financial reporting
  • Provide analysis and reporting on freight costs, cost savings or cost reduction opportunities, carrier utilization/performance and operational excellence projects.
  • Manage the freight bill payment and audit process through an external Freight Payment and Audit provider. Manage freight claim submission process
  • Identify and mitigate risks associated with global logistics operations, such as delays, strikes, customs issues, and geopolitical factors. Help to develop contingency plans to ensure supply chain continuity.
  • Stay informed about industry trends and developments in logistics and supply chain management to continuously improve processes and stay ahead of competitors
  • Work closely with other departments, including procurement, manufacturing, sales, and customer service, to align logistics regrading corporate level projects and overall business objectives.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain or a related field
  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience in global logistics or supply chain management.
  • Strong knowledge of international Logistics, global transportation networks and customs compliance.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities.
  • Strong financial acumen, analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on continuous improvement.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and cross-cultural collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Understanding of TMS concepts (Oracle/OTM).
  • Experience with ERP (SAP)
  • Experience in managing large-scale logistics projects or corporate-wide initiatives.
