Walter is recruiting for a
Global Logistics Manager (m/f/d)
Location: Tübingen or Eschborn (Frankfurt)

Your Responsibilities:

  • Manage the global logistics function within Walter, includes line & matrix organization
  • Own, oversee and develop the global logistics process at Walter
  • Develop & establish all relevant Logistics KPI’s and monitor those to ensure operational performance targets are met globally
  • Deal with and drive any Trade compliance-, Export/Import control- & CoO- topic on behalf of Walter, in close cooperation with all relevant partners and support functions
  • Analyze and deal with any Duty and Sustainability impact to Walter Supply Chain. Conduct relevant studies & propose strategic changes
  • Lead the organization towards a more Digital driven logistics role, serving customers in the most efficient way by utilizing own logistics operations and 3rd parties
  • Participate in and potentially lead several globalization projects
  • Act as main contact person for all logistics topics towards all stakeholders (internal/external)

Your Profile:

  • University Degree in supply chain / economics / engineering or similar, with focus on logistics (or any similar educational background)
  • 5+ years of logistics experience. Experience in any adjacent area will be considered an advantage (production, purchasing, planning)
  • 3+ years of experience in managing teams, ideally in a global environment
  • Strong process and project management skills
  • Structured & analytical thinking and acting, ability to quickly adapt to new situations
  • High degree of personal responsibility, communication and team skills
  • Very good exercise with SAP and MS/Office
  • Excellent German and advanced English skills, both written and spoken
  • Experience in working in international teams incl. some travel activity
