JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Investment Solutions Group at TD Securities conceptualizes, manufactures and distributes structured products for Canadian investors. The successful individual for the Intern position will join a team of structuring and wholesale professionals on the TD Securities trading floor who are dedicated to the continued growth and success of the structured products business at TD.

Principal responsibilities you’ll be entrusted with include but are not limited to:

  • Structure derivative based investment products for distribution into dealer channels across Canada
  • Develop offering documentation for new issue structured products linked to a variety of asset classes (equities, fixed income, currencies)
  • Support sales and marketing efforts through the creation marketing material and product education pieces
  • Provide ongoing product support to community of investment representative clients from across Canada
  • Maintain and update product information on the TD Structured Notes websiteIdentify opportunities and implement solutions to automate and scale business processes and data analysis efforts

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Pursuing a degree in either Business/Economics, Engineering, Math or Computer Science
  • Team player with strong work ethic and academic record
  • Possesses a positive attitude, willingness to learn and the ability to perform and meet tight deadlines in a fast paced trading floor environment
  • Demonstrates strong interest and overall passion for the financial markets with a particular interest in derivative products
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office product suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills, strong personal confidence and fortitude in an open working environment and an ability to project and defend a view
  • Sound sales, presentation and negotiating skills
  • Working knowledge of programming languages (Python, VBA, SQL, React, Javascript) considered an asset
