We are looking for an enthusiastic Global Merchandising Assistant, RTW & BA to join our talented Global Merchandiser team at Marimekko´s HQ in Helsinki. Our Global Merchandising Assistant plays an important role in supporting the Ready to wear and Bags and Accessories global merchandising strategy with seamless execution that aligns with the brand’s strategy, business objectives, design direction and global market needs in an omnichannel environment.
This is a fixed-term position for 6 months starting as soon as possible, in which you will report to Marimekko’s Head of Concept Ready to wear and Bags and accessories.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:
As a Global Merchandising Assistant for our RTW & BA categories, you will support global business from a merchandising point of view in order to achieve the growth objectives and profit margins for the category. Cross-functional interaction and collaboration with various internal teams is key in engaging all internal partners into the collection process. Besides the team members within the Merchandising function, your closest partners will be the sourcing teams, Global Retail and Wholesale, Global Marketing and Visual Merchandising. In this role, you will support and analyze global sales performance and market trends continuously to transform business insights into actions. To secure commercial success, you will support in ensuring a balanced product mix offering that addresses both current trends and customer needs and achieves growth objectives, not forgetting a competitive pricing structure for the collections.
To succeed in this role, you need to have a strong interest for the fashion industry and fashion trends. You need be business-minded and have an interest for numbers and analysis. If you also are a goal-oriented team player with an international mindset you might be the one we are looking for!
