Responsibilities

TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL HAVE:

  • A degree with a focus in Tax/Accounting/Finance or related degree and 10+ years of experience in Global Mobility Tax programs.
  • Exhibit strong people leadership skills, executive presence, and ability to navigate complex situations.
  • Have advanced knowledge in expatriate tax and social security programs, including experience in managing the complexities of a large program with multiple channels of cross border move types.
  • Demonstrate ability to provide constructive feedback to develop and strengthen performance of the team.
  • Exhibit strong communication skills including ability to articulate tax technical matters to employees and stakeholders with no tax background.
  • Demonstrate big picture thinking and ability to make connections on how talent mobility fits into Baker Hughes strategy.

As the Global Mobility Tax Leader, you will be responsible for:

  • Conceiving and delivering on the vision to build a best-in-class GM tax function.
  • Ownership on execution of the wing to wing processes of GM Tax program.
  • Working with our Tax services partner to drive innovation, cost efficiencies and highest level of service.
  • Staying connected with the market practices and help implement leading edge solutions for the tax program.
  • Balancing strategy and execution that come with the practical challenges of operating in a large and complex organization.
  • Coaching, mentoring, and developing GM Tax team members to ensure they receive opportunities to grow.
  • Investing and maintaining connections with the leadership and key stakeholders to be in the know and building upon the existing GM brand
  • Having visibility to financial metrics of the tax program and processes to drive efficient gathering and distribution of program spend.
  • Driving other initiatives that are within the scope and purpose of the role
