We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Global Network Security Engineer to join our IT Security team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in network security, with specific expertise in managing and supporting Palo Alto firewalls. This role will involve designing, implementing, and maintaining secure network systems to protect our global infrastructure, with a strong focus on security oversight, risk management, and compliance rather than day-to-day operational tasks.

• Design, implement, and manage network security protocols and infrastructure.
• Configure and manage Palo Alto firewalls to ensure the security of our network.
• Monitor network traffic for unusual activity and potential threats.
• Conduct regular security audits to identify vulnerabilities and implement remedial actions.
• Develop and maintain disaster recovery and business continuity plans.
• Provide technical advice on network security issues to staff and management.
• Respond to, investigate, and resolve security incidents and breaches.
• Document network security architecture, operational procedures, and incident response reports.
• Establish and enforce network security policies, standards, and best practices.
• Ensure compliance with industry regulations (e.g., NIST, CIS, ISO 27001, SOC 2, PCI-DSS).
• Conduct risk assessments and security audits on network infrastructure.
• Collaborate with internal teams to address compliance gaps and security risks.
• Review and approve network security architecture and design.
• Provide guidance on firewall rules, segmentation strategies, and zero-trust principles.
• Ensure secure cloud network configurations (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Validate network security tools and technologies for effectiveness.
• Perform risk analysis on network-related security threats and recommend mitigation strategies.
• Assess the effectiveness of intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS).
• Monitor and report on emerging network security trends and vulnerabilities.
• Work closely with IT, DevOps, and Security teams to enhance security posture.
• Provide security guidance for network changes, upgrades, and new deployments.
• Act as a subject matter expert (SME) for network security policies and risk mitigation.
