Description
The Global OEM Partnership & Technology Director is responsible for driving global sales strategy, product integration, and long-term technology alignment with the world’s leading UPS OEMs and strategic integrators. This role is uniquely positioned at the intersection of sales, product management, and technology, ensuring ZincFive’s current and next-generation UPS and AI battery solutions and Nickel-Zinc (NiZn) technology is fully embedded into OEM product roadmaps, solution architectures, and major end-user deployments.  This individual will serve as ZincFive’s interface to OEM partners and will be responsible for developing deep technical and commercial relationships that expand global market share and accelerate large strategic deals. The Director will also work closely with internal product management, sales, and engineering teams to ensure that OEM requirements, market trends, and emerging AI-HPC (Artificial Intelligence-High Performance Computing) workload demands directly shape future ZincFive solutions.  The position may be performed remotely or at ZincFive headquarters in Tualatin, Oregon and reports directly to the VP of Global Sales and Support.  Global OEM Partnership & Technology Director Job Duties:  * Build, manage, and expand senior-level relationships with global UPS OEMs and major integrators * Own and execute the global OEM sales strategy, driving YOY revenue growth and increasing attach rates for ZincFive solutions inside OEM portfolios * Support the global sales organization by influencing OEM stakeholders to help win major end-user deals, including hyperscalers, Fortune 100 enterprises, and large colocation providers * Lead joint sales pursuits with OEM partners—supporting commercial negotiations, architectural design discussions, bill-of-materials alignment, and technical integration questions * Develop global supply agreements, multi-year forecasts, and volume commitments with OEM partners * Develop new markets, VOC (Voice of Customer), and product integrations within OEM channel for battery technology and share and align ZincFive technology development roadmaps * Support OEM validation, compliance testing, interoperability, and certification processes  * Identify product gaps, integration needs, and emerging technical requirements and translate them into actionable specifications for the ZincFive product management team * Prepare and deliver sales enablement content, including presentations, case studies, whitepapers, competitive positioning assets, and training materials * Partner with OEM marketing and ZincFive corporate marketing to ensure consistent positioning * Manage and coordinate internal and OEM stakeholder teams across regions (North America, EMEA, APAC)  Requirements:  * Bachelor’s degree in STEM or equivalent years of experience  * Minimum of 7 years of experience in advanced power electronics or battery technology solutions sales/product development involving uninterruptible power supplies (UPS) for mission critical applications in the data center industry  * Proven experience assisting sales teams in closing enterprise-level and hyperscale data center deals through OEM channels * Strong background in product integration, technical roadmap alignment, and technology co-development * Experience supporting a global territory with demonstrated success meeting or exceeding sales targets * Exceptional communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills—strong executive presence * Ability to discuss advanced power electronics and battery solutions at a deep technical level, including battery behavior, basic electrical systems, UPS integration, AI dynamic workloads, and mission-critical power concepts * Proficiency in MS Office Suite; experience with CRM systems (Salesforce, HubSpot, etc.).  Preferred Experience/Skills: * Master’s degree in engineering, business, or technology * Experience partnering with global UPS OEMs * Familiarity with AI-HPC, liquid cooling, GPU cluster power behavior, and high-density compute rack architectures * Experience working with server OEM/ODMs  * Knowledge of global data center and colocation markets, including cloud, telecom, enterprise, and AI edge * Experience developing business cases, solution configurators, or financial models for OEM decision-makers  Key Competencies: * Attention to detail * Excellent communication skills - verbal and written * Good judgment * Solid decision-making * Teamwork  Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:  * Up to 30% travel; domestic and international * Work involves sitting, standing, occasional walking, and lifting up to 30 pounds * Ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment when required * Requires the ability to travel by air, car, train, or bus * Manufacturing, warehouse, lab, and office environments  Salary offers will depend on factors that include the location you work from, your level, education, training, specific skills, years of experience and comparison to other employees already in this role.  In addition, the successful candidate for this position will become eligible for a comprehensive set of outstanding benefits, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, 401k, paid sick time, paid time off for vacation, paid holidays, paid community service days, professional/personal learning program, and applicable state/federal paid family leave.  ZincFive is committed to employing a diverse workforce.
