WHO WE ARE?
Jewish Federation of Greater MetroWest NJ is a nonprofit organization that serves the Jewish community in Essex, Morris, Sussex, Union, and parts of Somerset County in NJ. Our mission is to convene and lead our community to ensure the continuity and strength of the Jewish people, to support a secure Jewish and democratic State of Israel, and to care for Jews in need locally and around the world. Federation enables community members to engage in meaningful ways, impact the lives of others, and access valuable resources.
POSITION OVERVIEW
The Jewish community of Greater MetroWest is privileged to have a network of global partner communities currently comprised of five in Israel (Rishon L’Tzion, Ofakim/Merchavim, Arad, Kibbutz Erez, and Hurfeish) and one in Cherkassy, Ukraine. The main ways in which we nurture these relationships include running people-to-people programs that connect their members with Greater MetroWest members (which we call “Living Bridges”), missions and delegation visits, and grants from Federation towards these communities.
Given the robustness and strategic importance of the relationship with our partner communities, we are excited to have created the new role of “Manager of Global Partnerships” to oversee the multiple aspects involved in maintaining and strengthening these relationships.
Reporting to the Director of Global Connections, the successful candidate will manage a portfolio of diverse and creative responsibilities, including but not limited to: working closely and regularly with our Israel office and our Development team; overseeing, recruiting for, and leading Living Bridges programs; planning delegation visits; and serving as a point person for the many Greater MetroWest community members visiting and/or supporting our partner communities.
