Responsibilities

JOB PURPOSE

Are you looking to grow your career in finance and gain hands-on experience in performance management and strategic insights? As a Performance Management Controlling & Strategic insights Analyst, you’ll play a key role in supporting the financial planning and performance tracking of our global ice cream business. You’ll also collaborate with the Strategy and Competitor Intelligence team to help the business stay ahead in a competitive market.
This is a unique opportunity to be part of a global transformation as we evolve from a Unilever business group into a standalone company with a lean and agile corporate centre.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Support planning processes: Assist in preparing forecasts, budgets, and strategic plans by gathering data and coordinating with business unit finance teams.
  • Track performance: Monitor financial results, help analyze variances, and support the development of performance reports and dashboards.
  • Contribute to long-term planning: Provide data and analysis to support the creation of long-term financial plans.
  • Reporting support: Work with the reporting team to ensure timely and accurate delivery of key performance indicators (KPIs) and financial reports.
  • Data analysis: Help turn financial data into clear insights that support business decisions combining internal performance data with external market context
  • Scenario planning: Assist in simulating pricing and cost outlooks in response to inflation and commodity trends.
  • Cross-functional collaboration: Work closely with marketing, innovation, R&D finance, and channel finance teams to ensure performance drivers are well understood and linked to business outcomes.
  • Presentation preparation: Assist in creating presentations and materials that explain financial performance to internal stakeholders.
  • Competitor analysis: Support the CI team with insightful analysis of global and local competitors, including performance benchmarking and innovation tracking.
  • Market intelligence: Use tools like Nielsen and Euromonitor to help assess market size, growth, share, and brand performance of key competitors.
  • Business integration: Help ensure competitor insights are embedded into core business processes such as Integrated Business Planning (IBP), innovation reviews, and strategic planning.
