Responsibilities

MAIN PURPOSE OF THE ROLE:

The Global Planning Manager is responsible for overseeing and optimizing cargo stowage planning, driving operational efficiency, and ensuring compliance with maritime regulations and safety standards across our Global Operations.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Optimize Cargo Stowage: Lead the efficient global planning of cargo stowage to meet both commercial objectives (maximizing vessel utilization) and operational requirements (enhancing port productivity and optimizing shifts).
  • Ensure Regulatory Compliance: Guarantee full adherence to international maritime standards and vessel safety regulations, minimizing risk and ensuring the safety of cargo, crew, and vessels.
  • Escalation Management: Take ownership of and resolve any escalated issues from regional planning teams, ensuring timely and effective solutions to challenges.
  • Baplie File Accuracy: Oversee the accurate and timely submission of Baplie files for both partner-operated and company-operated vessels, ensuring seamless communication and data flow within the ACR process.
  • Team Leadership: Manage the global planning team by staffing appropriately and evaluating team member performance, ensuring high levels of productivity and skill development.
  • Training and Development: Develop and implement comprehensive training programs for planners, enhancing their technical expertise and ensuring alignment with industry best practices.
