As the Global Privacy Director, you will be the primary architect of our global data protection strategy. In a world of evolving AI regulations and complex cross-border data flows, you will ensure that TaskUs remains a trusted fortress for our clients’ and employees’ data. You won’t just manage a checklist; you will lead a global privacy. team to integrate "Privacy by Design" into our newest AI-driven services and digital operations. Key Responsibilities Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute a global privacy roadmap that aligns with TaskUs’s rapid growth and expansion into new markets (including North America, Europe, Asia, and Latin America). Regulatory Guardrail: Act as the subject matter expert on global privacy laws including GDPR, CCPA/CPRA, LGPD, and VCDPA, as well as emerging AI-specific regulations. Commercial Support & Negotiations: Partner with Sales and Legal to negotiate complex Data Processing Addendums (DPAs) and represent TaskUs’s privacy program during high-stakes client audits and RFPs. AI & Innovation Oversight: Partner with the Product and AI Operations teams to ensure our use of generative AI and machine learning models is ethical, transparent, and compliant with our Global AI Policy. Privacy by Design: Embed privacy requirements into the lifecycle of new product development and client onboarding processes. Third-Party Governance: Oversee the privacy due diligence and lifecycle management of all third-party vendors and sub-processors to ensure downstream compliance. Incident Management: Lead the Global Privacy Incident Response Team, ensuring swift, compliant, and transparent handling of any potential data breaches. Audit & Compliance: Oversee Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs) and manage third-party privacy audits (e.g., SOC2, ISO 27001, ISO 27701) in collaboration with InfoSec. Advocacy & Training: Foster a culture of privacy awareness across our global frontline, ensuring our "People-First" mission extends to how we protect individual data rights. People Leadership & Development: Lead and scale a multidisciplinary global privacy team. You will be responsible for workload distribution, professional development, and performance management, ensuring the team is equipped to support a 24/7 global business model. Qualifications Experience: 10+ years of experience in data privacy, legal, or compliance, with at least 5 years in a global leadership role—ideally within the BPO, SaaS, or Tech sectors - directly managing and developing diverse teams of privacy professionals across multiple jurisdictions. Education: JD or equivalent advanced degree preferred; Bachelor’s degree in Law, IT, or Business required. Certifications: CIPP/E, CIPP/US, and CIPM (IAPP) certifications are highly preferred. Technical Fluency: Deep understanding of how data flows through modern cloud infrastructure and AI/ML pipelines. Global Mindset: Experience managing remote, multicultural teams and navigating the nuances of international labor and data laws.
