Driven by our brand values of being real, generous, curious and sustainably minded, as a team we take a collaborative approach, have a culture where ideas are heard, and are united in our leading goal to be the world’s most human-centred, #1 premium appliance brand.
As part of the largest global appliance brand – Haier, you’ll be joining a company that is on an exciting journey. A partnership that brings innovation and future led solutions, leading the way in the appliance space, it’s a great time to join the business!
Based at our Auckland Design Centre, as a Global Product Manager you will be someone who can establish and maintain strong links between the product development teams and a wide range of global stakeholders to lead the full product life cycle, from ideation to product launch and portfolio optimisation.
So that’s the role. Who are you?
Our Global Product Managers help drive the strategic direction and profitable growth of our various product portfolios. You will develop a deep understanding of the global competitive landscape and use your innate ability to take hard and soft data from multiple sources and turn it into genuine insights. You’ll work closely with Chief Engineers, Industrial Designers, our regional teams and the Head of your Product Line to ensure the relevant product portfolio is consistent with the business strategy and goals for Fisher & Paykel Appliances.
You will also liaise with our regional product management teams and global functions to lead new product introductions to ensure we deliver a positive and timely impact in market.
We are seeking an experienced Global Product Manager with a clear vision on how to achieve our leading goal to be the world’s most human-centred, #1 home appliances brand.
This senior-level role requires a strategic thinker with a background in product management, the ability to navigate ambiguity, and exceptional skills in analysing and synthesizing information.
You will have experience working for a global organisation in product management, marketing or even in a product development role, preferably within the luxury goods or premium brands, managing physical product. Proven skills in leading by influence with the ability to influence a wide range of stakeholders at all levels, as well as sound communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate complex concepts to diverse audiences.
Proficiency in project management, prioritisation, with good judgement on high leverage work and getting into the right level of detail are key to being successful in this role. You will be comfortable dealing with ambiguity and capable of making sound decisions in uncertain environments.
In time you’ll be seen as a trusted category expert, taking our vision and goals and understanding the role you need to play within that. Proactively creating excitement to influence within the business and to deliver outstanding outcomes.
You’ll thrive in a hands-on environment and will be great at influencing a variety of stakeholders across the business and throughout the product life cycle with great work, sound reasoning, and your natural collaborative style. On the technical side, you may have a bachelor’s degree in business or related field. Possibly even an MBA.
What we offer
We can give you the rare opportunity to move into a large, complex global organisation headquartered in NZ, where you will gain wide exposure across the business. This role has diverse and exciting challenges and the chance to continually learn and develop.
Along with a competitive salary, flexible working, ongoing development, as a valued member of our team you’ll enjoy generous discounts on Fisher & Paykel and Haier products, life & disability insurance, discounted medical cover, access to our leading Whanau/Family leave offering, our subsidised staff café, and free car parking when you are on-site.
