Description

JOB DESCRIPTION:

  • Primary interface and point of contact between the Company and Customer for manufacturing programs to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Work with an interdisciplinary program team.
  • Track and follow up on all open issues.
  • Handles any changes related to the manufacturing programs such as customer engineering changes, supplier requested changes to a component or mfg. process, internal mfg. process changes, etc.
  • Prepare and lead quote activities for responsible programs.
  • Establishes program timelines and ensures that customer and internal milestones are met.
  • Lead local and global APQP meetings within the organization but also with the customer; assist and solve technical issues as they arise.
  • Assist Program Managers in other regions if the program is a global program.
  • Establish SOR for manufacturing process equipment and leads RFQ process.
  • Travel to customer locations for presentations and program meetings as required.
  • Adhere to all rules and regulations of SHW.
  • Any other reasonable request made by Management.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum of 7 years automotive experience, OEM(s), Tier 1 & Tier II.
  • Must have worked a minimum of 2 years in a previous program manager position.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering and /or equivalent work experience.
  • Knowledge of ISO 9002 or TS 16949 ability to write procedures and work instructions.
  • Experience with electro-hydraulic products would be an asset.
  • Excellent communication skills dealing with Customers & Suppliers both internal & external.
  • Ability to work in a team.
  • Work with minimal supervision.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Experienced with MS Office and Project software.
  • German language knowledge would be an asset.
  • Self-starter with a positive attitude.
  • Ability to travel internationally.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule if required.
