As a Global Sales Training Director supporting Training & Development Team, you will lead the development and execution of strategic training initiatives for our intraocular lens (IOL) and cataract consumables portfolio. This role is critical to driving commercial excellence and ensuring our global sales teams are equipped with the clinical knowledge, product expertise, and selling skills needed to succeed in a competitive ophthalmic marketplace.

In this role, a typical day will include:

  • Design and implement global sales training programs focused on IOLs and cataract consumables, aligned with commercial strategy and product launches.
  • Partner with regional sales leaders, marketing, and medical affairs to identify training needs and develop tailored learning solutions.
  • Lead the creation of training content including clinical education, product positioning, competitive differentiation, and selling techniques.
  • Deliver engaging training sessions via in-person workshops, virtual platforms, and e-learning modules.
  • Establish metrics to evaluate training effectiveness and continuously improve programs based on feedback and performance data.
  • Support onboarding of new sales representatives and ongoing development of tenured teams.
  • Stay current on industry trends, clinical advancements, and competitive landscape in ophthalmology.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure consistent messaging and alignment across global markets.
