DEPARTMENT: WASTE EMERGING SEGMENTS (SALES)

We’re seeking an experienced Segment Director to lead the growth of our Plastics segment Globally. This is a key role in TOMRA’s plastics recycling segment, focused on market development and technical-commercial leadership for flake sorting products (AUTOSORT®, INNERFLAKE®).

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Master’s degree in engineering or in another comparable technical field.
  • 8 - 10 years of experience in selling industrial /automation products preferred recycling/waste equipment’s including an own network.
  • Demonstrated expertise in managing key accounts and/or sales areas.
  • Demonstrated expertise in managing successful, ambitious sales teams.
  • Understanding of sorting technologies, plastic materials, and recycling processes.
  • Strong technical acumen; familiarity with sensor technologies, NIR/Visible spectroscopy, and machine vision systems is a plus.
  • A well-developed network within the plastics or recycling industry.
  • Willingness to travel up to 70%, both domestically and internationally.
  • Must have excellent commercial skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required.
  • Excellent teamwork skills are critical
  • High tolerance for working under occasionally stressful conditions.
  • Speaks beside the Country language fluent English, a third language is an advantage, too.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint.

Job Description

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Managing our sales Globally for recycling products portfolio including full budget responsibility for Plastic Flake segment.
  • Full HR responsibility for the sales team for the segment, incl. salary planning, career development, recruitments, etc.
  • Sales of our products in the market segment “Plastic Flakes” .
  • Own all aspects of quotations, contract negotiations, performance agreements and contract signing.
  • Fostering effective professional relationships with internal departments such as service support, back office, business development, R&D and our global sales team
  • Provision of market-relevant data for budget planning and assessment of the market potential of the segment
  • Preparation of the technical and commercial conditions when using the products in new and existing applications within the segment.
  • Identification of new applications for TOMRA products
  • Implementation of pilot projects with selected customers within the segment.
  • Support the sales organization through active marketing activities within the segment.
  • Potentially ready for leading and supporting the sales team for the segment.
  • In the lead to foster a common TOMRA culture across all business streams
  • Responsible to ensure compliance with local labor legislation.
  • Preparation of the annual sales budget for the segment.
  • Consulted in annual salary adjustment process, evaluation of individual’s objective achievements.
  • Responsible for reporting between Sales and other required TS departments
  • Provide ongoing reporting to the Head of Waste Emerging Segments on pipeline, trends, and market intelligence.
  • Represent TOMRA at industry events, customer sites, and conferences.
