Job Description:
We have an exciting opportunity for you to shape the future of one of our most important categories, Snacks, with strategic innovation that drives category growth, delights consumers and advances the agenda of Nature Valley and other beloved global brands.
We are looking for an ambitious marketing innovator to lead this work, someone who can bring passion, grit, agility and disruptive thinking as you work to discover and execute strategic innovation projects. You will develop deep empathy for consumers to understand potential demand spaces, develop strategic ideas to meet those spaces, learn in the real world through experimentation and then ultimately leverage the scale of General Mills to accelerate growth in Snacks in our International markets.
You will be part of the Snacks brand development team serving the International segment, and partner with the markets to drive innovation strategy, positioning, and growth opportunities for the brands in our key markets across Europe, Australia and Asia.
WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO THE TEAM
We’re looking for someone with at least 6 years of CPG food industry experience, including a proven track record of turning disruptive opportunities into successful market launches. You’ll know how to balance consumer desirability, technical feasibility, and business viability to unlock profitable growth ideas. With outstanding communication and influencing skills, you’ll confidently navigate across all levels of the organization, challenging “business as usual” and championing new ways of working that deliver real results.
You’re experienced in running innovation pipelines and aren’t afraid to challenge conventions or experiment with new approaches. Above all, you’re passionate about solving consumer problems, thrive in ambiguity, and bring the entrepreneurial drive needed to turn bold ideas into market realities.
In this role, you’ll be at the forefront of shaping our innovation agenda. You’ll design and validate a compelling strategic innovation plan, setting a clear business model, priorities, and phasing—while continuously refining assumptions to stay ahead of the market. Being part of a high-performing, cross-functional team, you’ll create a culture of energy and focus, ensuring everyone is aligned behind ambitious objectives and mobilised to deliver them.
You’ll take ownership of the full marketing mix for key projects, moving seamlessly from consumer insights to product development, across all 4Ps—price, promotion, product, and placement. By leveraging agile experimentation, you’ll test, learn, and adapt quickly, ensuring ideas are proven before scaling. Beyond execution, you’ll act as the visionary for expansion, defining and selling the future of our brands. You’ll inspire excitement, gain buy-in from senior stakeholders and market teams, and ultimately secure retailer support to make these innovations a success.
