Global Manufacturing IT provides services, applications and architectural standards for Goodyear manufacturing. The systems and standards are used to empower our plants to produce high quality tires for our customers. We act as a technology expert resource to support engineering, production, and quality teams on their projects and plant expansion initiatives. This includes but is not limited to the development of IT applications supporting new/existing equipment, processes, as well as establishing the standards needed to transfer the technology to the manufacturing plants. The quality of our service is ensured through our implementation of industry standard SDLC and ITIL practices.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, MIS, Engineering or related discipline is required.
- 4-5 years experience in applying current information technology to specific areas of business.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES
- Language: Fluent in English
- Associate must be capable of working semi-independently with specified objectives, through interaction with supervisors and stakeholders. Customer relationships should begin to develop through delivery of stable working solutions and follow-up.
- Associate must possess basic organizational, communication and time management skills. Should have ability to complete assignments on time and with minimal error.
- Associate must participate as an active team member, practice effective listening skills and effective collaboration skills.
- Associate must achieve all information technology objectives through use of approved standards and guidelines. Completed work must be reviewed for conformance to standards, timeliness and efficiency.
- This position interacts with all levels of Information Technology associates and stakeholders. The position may also interact with external customers to exchange technical expectations or obtain follow-up on testing results.

Responsibilities:
- Maintain, modify, deploy and support systems or 3rd party components (programs, processes, configuration); all the while working within a larger system scope
- Perform deployment, technical/operational training and support during start-up new or modified IT services, application, and processes.
- Complete unit testing of all work processes.
- Troubleshoot and investigate. Develop solutions to problems involving causes that are not obvious. Respond to problems by diagnosing and correcting errors that do not have a known cause. Perform tasks necessary to ensure data integrity and system stability.
- Write and maintain all documentation supporting primary area of responsibility.
- Apply knowledge of current technologies and methodologies with business subject matter to develop technical solutions. Confer with stakeholders to gain an understanding of the situation requiring intervention. Translate process into practice through the current Information Technology toolsets.
- Obtain advice from higher-level Information Technology associates when precedents are unclear.
- Expand use of current information technologies, techniques and processes as they apply to Goodyear. Increase breadth and depth of technical knowledge by expanding knowledge base.
